June 17, 2026 | Comments Off on Full Time, Live Out, Family Assistant/Nanny, Penn, Buckinghamshire
A warm and welcoming family based in Penn, Buckinghamshire, is seeking an experienced and energetic Family Assistant/Nanny to support their busy household from September 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to become an important part of family life, helping to care for two cheerful boys aged six and three while ensuring the home runs smoothly.
The ideal candidate will be positive, organised, active, and proactive, with a genuine love of working with children. The role combines childcare with family support duties, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety and taking initiative.
The eldest child attends school full-time, while the youngest attends nursery two days each week. Outside of school and nursery hours, you will plan engaging activities, encourage outdoor play, organise creative games, and support the children’s development in a fun and nurturing environment.
The hours of the role will be:
Term Time (34 weeks):
o Monday–Thursday: 07.30-18.00
o Friday: 13.00–16.00
o Total: 45 hours/week
School Holidays (18 weeks):
o Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 07.30–18.00
o Wednesday: 09.00 – 18:00
o Friday: 09.00–16.00
o Total: 47.5 hours/week
Salary will be paid evenly across the year. Additional babysitting and occasional extra hours may be available and will be agreed and paid separately.
During school holidays, you will have the opportunity to organise enjoyable outings and educational adventures, including trips to local attractions, outdoor activities, and play centres. Encouraging friendships and social interaction will also form an important part of the role.
Alongside childcare responsibilities, you will provide valuable family support by helping with:
• School and nursery collections, along with transport to activities and clubs
• Family laundry and ironing
• Keeping children’s bedrooms, play areas, and belongings organised
• Preparing school uniforms, sports kits, and daily essentials
• Assisting with homework and encouraging good routines
• Preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• Maintaining tidy communal areas and helping with light household tasks such as unloading the dishwasher and putting away shopping
A weekly cleaner is employed, so this is not a housekeeping position; however, a willingness to assist with day-to-day household organisation would be greatly appreciated.
At the end of each day, you will ensure the children are settled, supervise bathtime where required, and leave children’s areas tidy and ready for the parents to take over.
A confident driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured vehicle is essential. Mileage incurred during working hours will be reimbursed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic childcare professional looking to build a long-term relationship with a lovely family.

A proactive and experienced Housekeeper is required for an informal family home in Bath.
The ideal Housekeeper will have worked in a similar position within a large private home who is able to use their own initiative and is competent at managing a home. June 8, 2026 | Comments Off on Full Time, Live Out, Nanny, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire
Starting at the end of June or beginning of July, a fabulous full-time nanny role has become available in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
The family is looking for a kind, warm, and fun professional nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family.
You will be caring for one happy and active little girl aged three, and her baby sister, who is due to be born in September, so experience with newborns is essential. The little girl will be attending nursery for a few sessions each week.
The hours for the role will be Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30. Any additional hours worked will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime at the agreed hourly rate.
Dad has a busy job that takes him away frequently, and Mum runs her own business and works from a dedicated office at home. Once her maternity leave has finished, this will be a sole charge role.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, helping them reach their developmental milestones. This will involve a mix of educational and stimulating indoor activities (such as reading stories, sensory play, singing, and age-appropriate games), alongside plenty of outdoor play, walks to the park, and attending groups and activities. The role would suit someone who enjoys planning engaging activities, has a good sense of humour, and is proactive and thoughtful in their approach, contributing positively to the smooth running of family life. A nanny who would like to socialise and help form a friendship group for the children would be ideal. Knowledge of the Montessori approach is desirable, but not essential.
As you will be responsible for nursery runs, you must be a confident and careful driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed weekly at the current government rate.
As the family employs a cleaner, this role involves nursery duties only. However, some support in keeping the household running smoothly would be appreciated, such as emptying the dishwasher and ensuring all rooms used are tidy at the end of the day.
Nursery duties include keeping all areas used by the children clean and tidy (kitchen, children’s rooms, playroom, etc.), staying on top of their laundry, and managing their wardrobes. You will also be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks each day, with home-cooked food wherever possible. You should be confident with the weaning process and happy to batch cook so that food is available for the children at weekends.
This is a wonderful opportunity and would suit someone looking to make a long-term commitment.
If the role sounds like something you would enjoy, please apply below.
