Daily Maternity Practitioner needed on a temporary basis in late May 2026

April 30, 2026 | Comments Off on Daily Maternity Practitioner needed on a temporary basis in late May 2026

A lovely opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to support a grandmother who is stepping confidently (and joyfully) into her new role as first-time “Grandma-in-Charge.”
The little girl at the heart of this placement will be nearly 5 months old and is already something of a dream baby. She sleeps well, feeds well from a bottle, and generally seems very pleased with life, as babies ideally should be. The grandmother will be caring for her granddaughter while the parents attend a family wedding in Europe, so this is very much a special short-term “grandma takeover” moment.
The role will involve supporting her with the baby’s daily care and routine, working mainly in a shared-care capacity, with the occasional solo stint if Grandma needs to pop out.
We are looking for someone experienced, fully qualified, and confident in infant care, but also someone who brings warmth, a sense of humour, and a relaxed, can-do attitude. Someone who is happy to muck in, be reassuring, and make the whole experience feel smooth, supported, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Overall, this is a warm, family-focused placement with a lovely baby, a very proud grandmother, and a genuinely appreciative household.
Please note Maternity Nurse and Newborn Care titles are industry terms, not protected medical titles.

Nights-only maternity practitioner required in August for twins, Hertfordshire

April 1, 2026 | Comments Off on Nights-only maternity practitioner required in August for twins, Hertfordshire

First-time parents are looking for an experienced and supportive Night Nanny to help guide them through the early months with their newborn twins. This position is ideal for a calm, knowledgeable, and empathetic professional who truly enjoys helping families during this important stage. The parents want someone who can provide confident overnight care, as well as offer practical advice and reassurance as they adjust to new parenthood. While experience with twins is appreciated, it’s not required. Since the twins will be bottle-fed, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage night time feeding routines are crucial.
The perfect candidate should have extensive experience with newborns, a good understanding of early development, and up-to-date knowledge of NHS guidelines and safe sleep practices. They should be warm, nurturing, and able to communicate clearly, providing gentle guidance and reassurance to first-time parents. Reliability, organisation, and initiative throughout the night are essential traits. As the mother works from home and wants meaningful bonding time with the babies, the nanny must respect the family’s routines and preferences.
Both parents are eager to welcome their babies and learn as much as possible. They hope to find someone willing to share their expertise and help build confidence during these early days. They look forward to welcoming a Night Nanny who will provide excellent overnight care and support them in feeling comfortable, capable, and reassured as new parents.

Maternity Practitioner needed in mid September, based in London

March 30, 2026 | Comments Off on Maternity Practitioner needed in mid September, based in London

A lovely family expecting their third baby are looking for an experienced maternity practitioner to support them following the arrival of their newborn via C-section. This will be a 2–3 month position.
The family are seeking a professional and knowledgeable candidate who is confident in establishing gentle sleep routines and able to support the mother with combination feeding. As they have not had maternity support before, they would really value someone empathetic, understanding, and able to guide them through this special time with reassurance and care.
The older children are very excited to welcome their new sibling, and the family would love someone who is happy to encourage bonding and support a calm, positive transition for everyone.
They are keen to establish a good routine early on to help encourage better sleep, so a candidate with strong experience in this area would be ideal.
