The role will be 21 hours per week split over 3 days (any) and the working hours ideally will be 7am-2pm.
The family have been used to having help in the home and have really appreciated their Housekeeper in the USA. They would love to find someone who is proactive, willing to help and has a friendly, positive nature.
The main duties will be helping to run a smooth home – laundry, ironing, keeping on top of groceries, cooking/baking, organising and tidying.

July 21, 2026 | Comments Off on Live Out, Family PA, Potten End, Hertfordshire
Working with a great family who is well known to Harmony at Home, a fabulous Family PA role has become available for an experienced person to support a friendly family of four: two full-time working parents and two happy children, a 15-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy.
The family is moving to a beautiful newly built home in Potten End, Hertfordshire. They are looking for a proactive self-starter who uses initiative, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives on anticipating and resolving the day-to-day challenges of a busy household.
The children are looking for an intelligent and friendly person who will help keep them organised and entertained. They still enjoy playing, and the boy in particular loves playing football in the garden and taking part in other games.
The contracted hours will be Monday to Friday, 07.00- 19.00, plus one four-hour babysitting session each week, on a day to be mutually agreed.
The main childcare responsibilities will be before and after school, with household management duties during the day. During the school holidays, the childcare element of the role will increase. The family prefers to contract the full hours to allow for flexibility (for example, when the children are off sick or during school holidays). However, there will typically be 2–3 hours of downtime during the day while the children are at school. In the school holidays, there will be the possibility of starting a little later and finishing a little earlier.
There will also be occasions when the parents need to travel for work, in which case overnight stays will be required. These will be agreed in advance and paid as overtime.
As well as engaging with the children in their hobbies and interests, you will help with homework and encourage good manners, positive behaviour, and healthy eating habits.
During term time, you will be responsible for school runs and ensuring the children have everything they need for school each day, including sports kit, school uniform, and other essentials. During the school holidays, there will be opportunities to enjoy fun days out with the children, including picnics, walks, bowling, cinema trips, visits to the zoo, and meeting up with friends. Sometimes, it may be as simple as spending time with them while they watch TV or read a book.
The family employs a cleaner three days a week, who also takes care of the family laundry. In addition to childcare, your duties will include:
• Preparing family-friendly meals (homemade wherever possible)
• Keeping the house running smoothly between cleaning visits
• Keeping the children’s areas tidy and organised
• Booking children’s medical appointments
• Managing grocery shopping, including meal planning, placing orders, unpacking deliveries, and purchasing additional items as needed, gifts, etc
• Running errands, such as dry cleaning, post office visits, and gift shopping
• Managing household and school administration, including organising tradespeople, paying bills, obtaining and comparing quotes, booking restaurants, and researching activities
• Working with work PAs to help everything run smoothly
• Staying on top of occasional tasks such as holiday packing and seasonal decluttering
You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured car for school runs, activities, and household errands. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, a competent cook, and an excellent communicator who ensures everyone knows what is going on. The family is looking for someone who is self-motivated, practical, and full of common sense, and who would enjoy becoming a valued part of their family life. The successful candidate will be warm, honest, fun, and pleasant to have around.

A wonderful, down-to-earth family based in the Brook Green area of Hammersmith is seeking an experienced, full-time sole charge nanny to care for their delightful 8-year-old daughter. The role is to start in early September, with the opportunity for a handover alongside the family’s current nanny during August before the family goes on holiday. The school she attends is also conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the family home. The families current nanny has been with them for four years, reflecting the positive, supportive, and happy working environment the family has to offer.
Their daughter enjoys swimming, music, (including violin and piano) arts and crafts, imaginative play, and fun outings. July 18, 2026 | Comments Off on Part Time, Live Out, Nanny, Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire
Starting ASAP, a wonderful part time nanny position for 30 hours per week has become available in Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire. The family is extremely friendly, both parents are professionals with demanding jobs that require a reliable nanny. They share a love of travel, ancient history, and fitness. They have two Dachshund dogs who are part of the family. They have a daily dog walker, but a dog lover is required.
The family is looking for a warm, nurturing, attentive, responsible and fun nanny with good interpersonal and communication skills to be part of the family (e.g. the family are still regularly in touch with their previous nanny). You will be an organised and proactive team player, who likes to plan ahead.
You will be caring for one delightful little girl who is nearly 2½ years old. She is a happy, sweet, curious and active child. She is due to start going to nursery from July on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays but hours of attendance are flexible (likely to be 9am-3pm). Sole charge care will primarily be with her. Mum is currently pregnant with the baby due in October 2026. Mum will be on maternity leave for a period (up to 12 months) with the baby. However, this is not a shared care role. There is a separate area of the home where mum will be with the baby while the little girl is at home. When the little girl is at nursery, any care of the baby by the nanny will be on a sole charge basis. Experience with newborns would therefore be advantageous. While Mum is on maternity leave, the nanny will only have sole charge of one child at a time.
The hours of work will be at least Tuesday and Thursday, 08:00–18:00. There will be an additional ten contracted hours across the week, days and times to be mutually agreed, making a total of 30 hours for the week. Some flexibility may be required due to work commitments (e.g. early meetings), but any changes will be agreed with as much notice as possible. Any additional hours required will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, supporting their developmental milestones with a mix of educational and stimulating indoor activities (reading, sensory play, singing and dancing, age-appropriate games, etc.) and plenty of active outdoor play in the garden and trips to the park and farm. The child is screen free.
They would like you to attend local toddler groups and activities to encourage exposure to other children and promote development and interests, while ensuring the children are always happy and safe. The little girl currently attends music class, forest school, baby ballet etc. The family also have passes to Woburn Safari Park and Play 360.
You must be a confident and careful driver with a clean licence. A car will be provided for use during working hours.

Nursery duties to include:
• General care of the children
• Keeping their areas clean, tidy and organised (kitchen, bedroom, playroom, etc.)
• Making up / sterilizing bottles

July 17, 2026 | Comments Off on Full time Nanny for family of 6, in Bath
A busy family of 6 are looking for a live in Nanny in Bath.
This is a super position, childcare duties only. You will predominantly be looking after twins of 2 years and helping with school runs of the two older children, aged 9 and 7. Taking the twins to local groups, they enjoy gymnastics and messy play, preparing healthy nutritious meals for all the children, keeping on top of children’s laundry, tidying children’s bedrooms and play areas. During the school holidays the older two will attend some holiday clubs or go on play dates so balancing the needs of all the children is key but there will not be many times that you have sole charge of all four.
The ideal candidate will be patient, active, fun, nurturing and have good communication. A qualification in child care is not essential as the most important thing is to have age-appropriate experience and have worked with multiple children before as a Nanny.
The family live near to Bath University, with a large garden. The house backs onto The Skyline Walk so there are good walks right on the doorstep but there is also good public transport however a driver is required for the school runs. Your accommodation is an annexe with separate entrance to the house with a large bedroom/living space, bathroom and kitchen. They will also consider live out if you are local.
This is a permanent position.
