The family is active, they enjoy being outside in the fresh air. The girls attend a forest school nursery on three days each week, so you will help with the pick-up on those days. While the children are at nursery, you will have time to keep the home organised.

Duties to include:

Permanent Nanny Role near West Bridgford, Nottingham.

A happy and busy family of four based near West Bridgford, Nottingham, are seeking a warm, reliable and proactive Nanny to join their household as soon as possible, ideally from September. The family have two boys, aged 8 and 10, who are both active, hardworking and enjoy a busy lifestyle filled with sports, outdoor activities, and trips out. The candidate should be proactive, energetic and fun, with the confidence to organise engaging activities and outings and to take initiative throughout the day.
The younger boy is neurodivergent and currently undertakes home-based learning. The family are looking for a Nanny who can provide daytime support and wrap-around care outside of his scheduled teaching hours. This will involve spending quality time with him, encouraging play and activities, and helping to make his days enjoyable, engaging and varied. He has a dedicated tutor, so no teaching will be required as part of the role. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding and able to support his individual needs, whilst encouraging his continued development and learning in a positive way. The older boy attends school full-time (around 30 mins away) and occasional school collections may be needed so a confident driver with their own car is essential.
Both parents work flexibly and sometimes work from home. Although there may be someone at home during the day, this is essentially a sole-charge role. The successful candidate should be confident managing the children’s routine and needs independently but be willing to work as part of a team when required.
The position is for around 20 hours per week, with the days and hours offering flexibility to suit the right candidate. The role is term-time only, as the family frequently travel during the school holidays; there may be opportunities for additional hours during the holidays when the family are not travelling, by mutual agreement. The family are looking for someone reliable and committed who would like to become a trusted member of their household on a long-term basis. They do not have family nearby, so would particularly value someone willing to offer support for their varied schedules when required, including the possibility of additional hours.
This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced Nanny to become a valued part of a welcoming family.
