August 20, 2026 | Comments Off on Proxy Parent for 13yr old in Chelsea, London
Harmony at Home is looking for a reliable, experienced and engaging nanny to support a lovely 13-year-old boy in Chelsea.
The immediate requirement is for two short periods while his mother is travelling for work: 28th–31st August and 2nd–5th September, with the nanny staying overnight and caring for him throughout these periods.
He is an independent and sporty teenager who has recently arrived in London, so everything is still very new to him. He will need a nanny who can accompany him to football and sports training, support him with his daily routine and help him become familiar with London.
An important part of the role will be helping him learn to use London public transport and the Underground safely and confidently. Taxis can be used when appropriate. The nanny will also be encouraged to organise fun activities so that he can explore and enjoy the city, such as sightseeing, museums and double-decker bus tours. Where guided tours are arranged, Russian-speaking options would be preferred.
The nanny will also support with meals, whether this involves preparing simple food, cooking together or arranging food when appropriate.
His English is still developing ahead of starting school this year, so someone who can communicate with him in English and naturally encourage his confidence and language skills would be particularly welcome. Russian speaker desirable.
Although the immediate priority is for the two periods in August and September, there is potential for this to develop into a longer-term position. Once he starts school, the family may require regular morning support with the school run, as well as after-school assistance with football, sports and other activities.
