Live in Housekeeper for Stately Home near Worcester, Worcestershire

A warm, proactive and friendly Housekeeper is sought for a beautiful stately home, currently
occupied by a single principal. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who takes pride in
creating a well-maintained home and enjoys a varied role. The position will involve the day-to
day care of the main living areas, including the kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathrooms and
principal staircase, with occasional deep cleaning of less frequently used formal rooms when
required for hosting or special occasions. Daily tasks will include general tidying, dusting,
hoovering, mopping, laundry and light wardrobe care. The on-site estate office will also require
a weekly clean. An understanding and appreciation of antiques and delicate items is
highly desirable. The principal is seeking someone who can work collaboratively offering
support with organising and decluttering personal belongings in various rooms around the
house as an ongoing team work project. Someone who has a passion for cookery and hosting is
a bonus but not essential. There is flexibility for the right person to take on additional work
alongside this role, should they wish. The stately home is set in a beautiful setting surrounded
by beautiful countryside, however, it is a short drive from the well connected city of Worcester.
Location of the job: Near Hallow, Worcestershire
Minimum experience Level for this job: Experience in a similar live in role
Hours of work: 9am – 2pm (regular overtime available)
Days required: Monday – Friday
Driving required: Yes, adhoc driving of family members by prior arrangement
Job Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £15 gross per hour
Accommodation: large and spacious flat with large bedroom, living room, wash room, kitchen
and corridor with private access. Can be furnished or unfurnished.
