A beautiful and historic 10-bedroom stately home is seeking the care and dedication of a task orientated live-in couple. This varied role involves daily housekeeping duties of the main house and estate office, including cleaning, polishing, dusting, hoovering, laundry and general tidying. The house is home to precious antiques and family heirlooms, so someone with a passion or prior experience caring for these items is preferred. You will also support with pet care including dog walking, decluttering, and occasional culinary support when the household are hosting. You will become a regular friendly face to the residence offering warmness and discretion in the home. The gardens and grounds have daily attention from a full time Groundsman. However having a supportive and passionate green fingered individual to complete smaller projects such as weeding and a willing hand to support the Groundsman with two person jobs such as log splitting and hedge cutting. Property maintenance, such as painting and sanding is also required to support the upkeep of the period property. The couple will also provide security and animal care when the residents are away. The household is home to a sweet border terrier, friendly pigs, and a flock of quail, so animal lovers are preferred. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with residents, staff, contractors, and tradespeople, including sourcing and coordinating specialist work. A willingness to drive occasionally for the residents is also valued.
We are looking for a couple who enjoy working together, bring positive energy and humour, and can turn their hand to a wide variety of tasks. Initiative and willingness to go beyond the basics are key to thriving in this role.
Location of the job: Near Hallow, Worcestershire
Minimum experience Level for this job: Experience working in a similar role. Knowledge of care and maintenance of large homes and grounds.
Accommodation: Self-contained spacious 1,000 square foot flat in the main house with separate entrance, generous kitchen, bathroom, living space and bedroom. Rent, bills and Wi-Fi covered. Beautiful views over the grounds and park.
Hours of work: 4 hours a day each (any over time required paid at £15 gross per hour).
Days required: Monday – Friday
Driving required: Yes, own car preferred

Pay: £25,396 gross per annum
