A proactive and experienced Housekeeper is required for an informal family home in Bath.
The ideal Housekeeper will have worked in a similar position within a large private home who is able to use their own initiative and is competent at managing a home. Your duties will be all housekeeping duties including cleaning of the large house, changing bedding, laundry and ironing, managing the children’s wardrobes and running any errands required. If someone enjoys cooking there could be some occasional cooking required and to help prepare vegetables etc for family meals. The family have 3 children aged 9-6 years, there may be the odd occasion that you are asked to supervise the children so child friendly is a must and being used to a busy household is essential.
This position is 4 or 5 days, 7am-3pm. If 4 days it would be Monday-Thursday. If working 5 days there is the option of finishing earlier one or two days of the week.
The family employ a second housekeeper who works different hours so you will work as a ‘tag team’. There could be more hours when the other housekeeper is on holiday. There are cats in the home and the family do plan to have a dog in the future. It is a large 9 bedroom newly renovated house, over 3 floors (although the third floor is not often used). The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own and as part of a team, be organised, honest and discreet, with a muck in, ‘can do’ attitude.
