Full-time Nanny Role West Bridgford, Nottingham
A wonderful family based in West Bridgford are seeking an experienced, nurturing and reliable Nanny to become a valued and trusted part of their household. The family currently have a lovely 4-year-old boy and are expecting their second baby in May 2027. With no family living locally, they are looking for someone dependable who can become a valued support network.
The role is a full-time position comprising of 35 hours over 5 days – The family would ideally like Mon, Tues and Thurs – 10am to 7pm, and Weds and Fri – 3pm – 7pm, but there is some flexibility on the days/hours offered, and potential to switch one of the days for a Saturday if preferred.
The role will be a mixture of sole-charge and shared-care, with one parent usually working from home. The successful candidate will be comfortable working alongside the parents, whilst also being confident taking sole-charge responsibility for their little boy and creating a happy and engaging afternoon routine. He attends a nearby nursery, so the role will include nursery pick-ups followed by activities, trips to the park and getting out and about locally, as well as play and activities at home. Before nursery collection, the family would appreciate some practical support around the home, including nursery duties and light housekeeping. A Nanny who enjoys cooking and is confident preparing simple, and healthy family meals would be particularly valued.
As the family welcome their new arrival the role may evolve. Around the birth, they will require flexibility and support to provide care for their 4-year-old, at short notice, while the parents are at hospital. Following the baby’s arrival, the Nanny will provide support during the parents’ parental leave; this may involve taking the eldest out for activities and adventures and giving the parents some quiet time with the baby or helping out with the baby so the parents can enjoy one-to-one time with their older child. The family are looking for someone with a ‘muck-in’ mentality who is proactive, practical and happy to help wherever needed. Professional nanny experience is preferred, ideally with toddlers and young children. The right candidate will be calm, nurturing and organised, with the confidence to become a trusted and valued part of family life.
