Fixed-Term Proxy-Parent required in Derby.
A lovely pair of teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, are looking for someone to support them for a period of proxy-parenting in Mid-November while their parent works away. The candidate will need to be able to drive, to assist with the school run for both boys, and will need to be happy with pets as during the day they will provide care and company for the families two labradoodles.
This is a lovely opportunity to support the family across a 5-day fixed term period with some light laundry, dog walking and school runs, in addition to cooking meals for the boys. Being teenagers the boys are generally self-sufficient and won’t require ‘entertaining’ in the evenings but are just looking for someone to be around for them – to be present for the boys, help as required and maintain the usual routines, including providing breakfast and dinner and doing the driving to/from school – the boys are at different schools, both around 10 mins drive from the house.
The older of the two boys also has mild ASD. This will not impact upon the requirements of the job as there are no behavioural needs, but a candidate particularly open to learning about his interest in aircrafts would be a welcomed!
The family are conveniently located towards the West side of Derby in a nice residential suburb and verging on the countryside – so there are plenty of lovely places to walk the dogs right on the doorstep, and the city centre is around 10 minutes’ drive. The candidate will have their own bedroom with en-suite bathroom to ensure they are comfortable within the family home.

Job End Date: 20th November (Friday) at 5pm.
Pay: £1,606.85 for period required.
