A lovely first-time family are looking for a medically trained and experienced candidate to provide overnight support for their baby.
Their little one was born prematurely at 24 weeks and is now home and doing incredibly well. The baby is currently on a low level of oxygen (0.1 L/min) and has recently completed a sleep study, with the hope that they will be able to come off oxygen soon.
This is a waking night role, and the successful candidate will provide attentive and reassuring care throughout the night, including making observations and monitoring the baby. The baby is bottle-fed and is progressing beautifully.
The ideal candidate will be medically trained or have recent experience working within a clinical setting, and will feel confident caring for a premature baby. The family are looking for someone calm, nurturing and confident, who can provide them with reassurance and support overnight.
It is important that the successful candidate is confident in following NHS guidelines, the baby’s care plan and safer sleep practices, while working closely and sensitively with the parents.

Gross hourly Rate: £35ph
Hours of work: 9pm -9am
Nights required: 2-3 nights per week
Specialist or expert required: Certified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: Medically trained, 12hr First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Maternity Practitioner Certificate (L3 minimum).
