Maternity Practitioner needed mid-September, based in London
A lovely family expecting their first baby is seeking an experienced Maternity Practitioner to provide night support and guidance during the early weeks following the birth.
The family will be based in London for approximately six weeks after the baby is born and are looking for a warm, knowledgeable, and professional candidate who can help them navigate this exciting new chapter with confidence. As first-time parents, they would value someone who is experienced, reassuring, and able to provide practical, evidence-based advice tailored to their individual needs.
The successful candidate must be fully up to date with current NHS guidance and The Lullaby Trust’s safe sleep recommendations, while also being respectful and mindful of the family’s customs and preferences. They should feel confident answering questions, offering reassurance, and empowering the parents throughout the newborn period.
The mother hopes to breastfeed but is also open to combination feeding if appropriate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting infant feeding in a balanced and supportive manner, without judgement, and will be able to guide the family in making informed decisions that work best for them.
The family will have a live in confinement nanny who will be providing day support

Contract End: 6 weeks
Location: Paddington, London
Gross 24 hourly Rate: £27ph
Hours of work: 9pm -7am
Days required: 4 nights per week, then reduce to 2-3nights after 4 weeks
Specialist or expert required: Qualified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: 12hr First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum), Safeguarding L2.
Driving required: Not within the role
