Maternity Night Nanny needed ASAP in Islington, London
First-time parents are seeking overnight support for their thriving 6-week-old baby. The baby is breastfed and takes expressed breast milk overnight. The family are looking for a friendly, experienced, empathetic, and knowledgeable Maternity Practitioner to support them over the coming weeks.
The parents are eager to learn as much as possible from the successful candidate and would value someone who is an excellent communicator, able to keep them informed and confident about their baby’s development, feeding, and routine. They are particularly keen to work with a candidate who can gently guide and support them in making informed decisions, offering evidence-based advice and reassurance as they navigate early parenthood.
All nursery duties will be required. The ideal candidate must be up to date with the latest NHS guidelines and safe sleep practices.
Please note Maternity Nurse and Newborn Care titles are industry terms, not protected medical titles.
Job Start Date: as soon as possible
Contract End Date: 3-4 weeks (may extend)
Location: Islington, London
Gross 24 hourly Rate: £20ph gross
Hours of work: 9pm -7am
Days required: 3nights, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday Night (possibly Friday night ad hoc)
Specialist or expert required: Qualified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: 12hr First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum), Safeguarding L2.
Driving required: Not within role
