Website Harmony at home Maternity
First-time mother is seeking experienced and compassionate support following the arrival of her newborn in early July. The family is looking for a flexible candidate who can provide both night support and some daytime assistance during the first three weeks after birth. As mum becomes more settled and confident in managing daytime routines independently, the role will transition to primarily overnight support for the remainder of the contract.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, empathetic, and confident in supporting first-time parents. They should be able to offer informed, evidence-based guidance while respecting the parents’ choices and helping them make the best decisions for their baby.
At present, it is unclear whether the father will be available to support the mother, so the family requires someone who is confident working closely and independently with mum.
Candidates must be fully up to date with current guidance from the Lullaby Trust and safer sleep recommendations. They should also be confident advising on feeding techniques, establishing healthy sleep routines, newborn care, developmental milestones, and all aspects of early baby development.
Please note Maternity Nurse and Newborn Care titles are industry terms, not protected medical titles.
