First-time parents are seeking an experienced and supportive Maternity Practitioner to provide daily guidance and care during the early newborn stage. Their baby is thriving and breastfeeding well, and the mother is keen to continue breastfeeding for as long as it suits both mother and baby.
The family would love someone confident in supporting first-time parents, offering reassurance, practical advice, and up-to-date guidance throughout the early days of parenthood. It is important to the parents that they are given balanced information to enable them to make informed choices for their family.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, experienced, confident, empathetic, and understanding, with a calm and supportive approach. The mother works from home, so the role will involve a mixture of shared charge and occasional sole charge support.
Candidates must be up to date with current NHS guidelines, The Lullaby Trust safe sleep recommendations, and hold Safeguarding Level 2 certification.
