A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced, proactive, dedicated and caring full-time Nanny to join a warm and welcoming family based in Henfield, West Sussex (near Brighton). This is a long-term, permanent role, offering either a live-in arrangement (with a private studio flat nearby) or a daily position for someone who lives locally.
The family includes three teenagers: one aged 16 and twins who are nearly 13. They’re looking for more than just a nanny. They want a mentor, role model, and positive presence in their children’s lives — someone who can support their independence while encouraging organisation and confidence.
About the Role
This is a varied, busy position for a true all-rounder with experience working in high-net-worth households, with older children and teenagers, particularly those with SEN needs. A background in working alongside other private staff is essential, as you’ll be the sole-charge nanny within a professional household team.
The children enjoy golf, dirt biking, fashion, flying, and travel, so an energetic, confident, and engaging nanny will thrive here.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide full care and support for three teenagers in a nurturing, structured environment
• Homework help, school and activity transport (extensive driving in luxury vehicles)
• Liaise with the family’s PAs, housekeepers, and chef; assist with event coordination
• Light housekeeping focused on children’s areas and laundry
• Occasional cooking for the children, online shopping and returns, and running errands
• Travel internationally with the family during school holidays and assist with travel logistics
• Proxy parenting when required
• Pet care for two cats when the family is away
Ideal Candidate
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a nanny in private households with older children
• Experience supporting children with SEN and an understanding of independent school routines
• Confident driver with a clean UK licence and experience driving luxury vehicles
• Highly organised, discreet, adaptable, and professional
• Smart in appearance with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to commit to flexible hours and international travel
Position Details
• Location: Steyning (near Brighton), West Sussex
• Start date: ASAP, June or July 2025!
• Hours (Live-in): 7am to 7pm plus 2 nights babysitting per week
• Hours (Daily): 7am to 7pm with a 2-hour break plus 2 nights babysitting
• Days: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends, proxy parenting, and travel
• Accommodation: Private studio flat for live-in candidates
• Pets: 2 cats
• Driving: Essential; vehicle provided
• Salary: £55,000 gross (live-in) / £65,000 gross (daily)
• Requirements: Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid, childcare qualification
