A warm and welcoming family based in Brockley, Lewisham are seeking an experienced and nurturing part-time afternoon nanny to join them from September. The role will involve caring for two children, aged 2 and 5 at the start of the position, within a sole charge capacity.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday from 2:00pm until 6:30pm, with some flexibility on Fridays. Both the children’s preschool and school are located within a five-minute walk from the family home, and collection from after-school clubs at 4:30pm will be required.
The family are looking for a warm, bubbly and proactive nanny who genuinely enjoys the company of children and is able to provide a calm, comforting and engaging environment after busy school days. Someone who can get involved in creative play and arts and crafts with their daughter would be highly valued.
The role will include standard nursery duties carried out prior to school pick-ups. These duties will include preparing meals for the children, managing the children’s laundry and maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the children’s areas within the home, as well as providing afterschool care including dinner for the children.
Previous childcare experience is essential for this role; however, formal qualifications are not required. No driving is necessary. The family do not currently have pets, although they may consider getting cats in the future. This is a wonderful role to become a trusted part of a welcoming and happy family.
The salary on offer is between £20- £22 gross per hour DOE (£23,400-£25,750)
