This warm and welcoming family who currently live in the Ravenscourt Park area ( moving to Parson’s Green/Fulham in Spring 2027) are seeking a warm, energetic, nurturing and educationally minded after-school nanny to care for their cheerful and curious 4-year-old son. The hours will be 3pm-7.30pm in term time and then for 11 weeks of the school holidays it will be 55 hours (8.30-7.30). The salary on offer is between £23-25 gph, which annualised equates to approx. £35,000- £38,000 gpa. The job is to start 4th January 2027.
The family also off offer 8 weeks of paid holiday, ideally aligned with family (school) holidays (for at least 6 out of the 8 weeks) and subject to reasonable notice and mutual agreement.
Duties include collecting their son from school and accompanying him to after-school activities (currently gymnastics and football), playdates and outings, also planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities and supporting early literacy, numeracy, reading and writing. Organising playdates with friends, as well as establishing good routines, manners and boundaries is also required, along with communicating with the parents.
This is a childcare-focused position and general cooking, cleaning and household laundry will largely be handled separately. Responsibilities would include heating pre-prepared meals and occasional help with the little boys laundry and belongings.
The ideal candidate will be articulate, educationally minded and genuinely enthusiastic about early childhood learning and development, ideally with a background in teaching and early years education or a related field. Someone warm, affectionate, patient and emotionally attuned, with a cheerful, energetic and playful personality as well as someone able to confidently establish gentle but consistent boundaries and encourage good behaviour.
Being flexible, communicative and comfortable working collaboratively with parents is also required. There are no pets, no driving required and no travel.
