A lovely family based in Herne Hill are looking for a warm, experienced, and proactive nanny to care for their little boy, who will be 11 months old at the start of the position in early October. This is a sole charge role, with an initial 2–3 week handover period with Mum before she returns to work following maternity leave.
The position is for four days a week, most likely Monday to Thursday (TBC), with working hours of 8:00am to 6:30pm. The salary on offer is £22+ gross per hour, equating to approximately £48,048 gross per annum.
The family are looking for a loving, caring, and nurturing nanny who will become a valued part of their family on a long-term basis. They would like someone who is energetic, reliable, and has a genuine muck-in attitude, with the confidence to take initiative. A qualified nanny is preferred, and ample baby and toddler experience is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning fun and developmentally appropriate activities, taking their little boy to classes, playdates, and outings, and supporting him as he reaches important developmental milestones. As he grows, the nanny should be confident in implementing and maintaining consistent routines and boundaries, while providing a secure and nurturing environment.
Good communication with the parents is key, and the family are looking for someone who is happy to work in partnership with them. There are no pets in the home, and no driving is required for the role, although being able to drive would be considered a bonus. A nanny who is happy to travel with the family from time to time would be desirable, but this is not essential.
