Beachside Nanny for Energetic Family, Carbis Bay, Cornwall. Warm, outdoorsy family seeking a grounded, soulful nanny to join them in January as mum returns to work. You’ll be a trusted extension of the family caring for 2-year-old twins and their 4-year-old sibling on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00–18:00, with hours likely to increase and flex as needs change. This is a fast-paced, joyful household that treasures fresh, home-cooked, locally sourced meals, daily beach walks (sandy toes and salty kisses), time outdoors, and a practical, muck-in attitude.
We’re looking for someone who leads with kindness and creativity: you’ll plan engaging, developmentally rich activities (bring your own ideas and a flair for brainstorming), encourage curiosity about the natural world, and happily join in wild, wet and muddy adventures as well as calm, restorative moments. An interest in martial arts or yoga is a real plus – the family values active play, mindful moments and someone who can role-model movement and calm. A love of wildlife and dogs is important (the home is pet friendly), and a genuine commitment to nutrition and healthy living. Cooking simple, nourishing meals for the children is essential.
The right person is active but centred, practical yet playful, emotionally intelligent and able to form warm, secure bonds with the children while working closely with parents as a reliable partner. If you bring warmth, initiative, excellent childcare instincts and a readiness to step in where needed (occasional overnights may be required / flex), this could be a deeply rewarding, long-term placement.
