Location of the job: Albourne, Hassocks, West Sussex
Minimum experience level for this job: At least 2 years of professional childcare or nannying experience
Details of any training needed for this job: Enhanced DBS and paediatric first aid required
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: Childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential; a genuine passion for early years development, especially in reading, writing, and creativity, is key
This is a permanent daily sole-charge nanny position with a welcoming and supportive family who value education, imagination, and genuine connection. Their 4-year-old will be starting school in September, while their 2-year-old attends nursery three days a week. The family are keen to find someone who will become part of their everyday rhythm, encouraging their children’s love of reading, writing, and play.
Hours of work / Days required: Monday: 8am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8am-9am & 3pm-6pm plus an extra hour per day for housekeeping which can be flexible.
Total: 25 hours per week (with flexibility)
Pets at home: One friendly small dog
Driving required: Yes – a driver is essential, and a car can be provided for work use or use own
Job start date: September/October 2025
Pay: £26,000 gross per annum | £20 per hour
