Are you a nanny looking for a part time role caring for school aged children?
Starting ASAP, you will be working alongside Dad, who has care of his children for half the time.
This friendly family live in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. They are looking for a professional, nurturing, fun and creative nanny to join their family.
You will be caring for two active and happy children: a girl aged twelve and her brother aged eight. The children like to spend time outside playing sports, as well as indoor activities such a playing games and arts and crafts.
The role will be term time only (39 weeks), but in the school holidays there could be additional ad hoc hours, which will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The core hours will be 21.5 hours each week, on a rolling two-week basis as follows:
Week 1
Monday – 13.00-18.00
Tuesday – 07.30-09.00 and 13.00-18.00
Wednesday – 07.30-12.30
Thursday – No hours
Friday – 13.00-18.00
Week 2
Monday – 07.30-12.30
Tuesday – No hours
Wednesday – 13.00-18.00
Thursday – 07.30-09.00 and 13.00-18.00
Friday – 07.30-12.30
The salary will be £25,155 gross per annum. This will be split equally across the year. Any overtime will be mutually agreed and paid at £30 gross per hour.
You will have time before the school pick up to help keep the children organised, making sure they have everything they need for the following day (uniform, sports kit, etc), keeping their rooms tidy, etc. You will also oversee any homework.
You will take care of family laundry and prepare a healthy and nutritious meal for the family each day, home cooked as often as possible. Although the family has a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated (emptying the dishwasher, running errands, etc).
You will need to be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
