A friendly and professional family of four living in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, is looking for a reliable and experienced housekeeper to help maintain the efficient day-to-day running of their household. The family has two children: a six-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son.
While the position is primarily focused on housekeeping duties, there may be opportunities for additional paid hours, including overtime or occasional evening babysitting, subject to mutual agreement.
The role is for 12 hours per week, working six hours ideally on Mondays and Thursdays, but open to other days. Daily working hours can be arranged flexibly to suit both the family and the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home
2. General household organisation and tidying, including daily upkeep of areas such as the kitchen and playroom
3. Managing family laundry, including washing, bedding care, and ironing
4. Changing bed linen on a regular basis
5. Unpacking and putting away grocery deliveries and household shopping
6. Planning, preparing, and cooking wholesome, nutritious meals for the family in line with an agreed menu and any dietary needs
7. Preparing packed lunches when needed
A duty car is available for running errands if required.
The family is seeking someone who is proactive, dependable, caring, and discreet. They would love to welcome a person who is comfortable around children and can contribute a positive, helpful presence within their home.
