Starting in June 2026, a fabulous full-time nanny role will be available in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
The family is looking for a kind, warm, and fun professional nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family.
You will be caring for one happy and active little girl aged three, and her baby sister, who is due to be born in September, so experience with newborns is essential. The little girl will be attending nursery for a few sessions each week.
The hours for the role will be Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30. Any additional hours worked will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime at the agreed hourly rate.
Dad has a busy job that takes him away frequently, and Mum runs her own business and works from a dedicated office at home. Once her maternity leave has finished, this will be a sole charge role.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, helping them reach their developmental milestones. This will involve a mix of educational and stimulating indoor activities (such as reading stories, sensory play, singing, and age-appropriate games), alongside plenty of outdoor play, walks to the park, and attending groups and activities. The role would suit someone who enjoys planning engaging activities, has a good sense of humour, and is proactive and thoughtful in their approach, contributing positively to the smooth running of family life. A nanny who would like to socialise and help form a friendship group for the children would be ideal. Knowledge of the Montessori approach is desirable, but not essential.
As you will be responsible for nursery runs, you must be a confident and careful driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed weekly at the current government rate.
As the family employs a cleaner, this role involves nursery duties only. However, some support in keeping the household running smoothly would be appreciated, such as emptying the dishwasher and ensuring all rooms used are tidy at the end of the day.
Nursery duties include keeping all areas used by the children clean and tidy (kitchen, children’s rooms, playroom, etc.), staying on top of their laundry, and managing their wardrobes. You will also be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks each day, with home-cooked food wherever possible. You should be confident with the weaning process and happy to batch cook so that food is available for the children at weekends.
This is a wonderful opportunity and would suit someone looking to make a long-term commitment.
