Starting in September 2026. a wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced live-out nanny to join a professional, friendly family of four in Penn, Buckinghamshire.
The family are looking for a warm, organised and proactive nanny to become a valued part of family life and provide a happy, structured and nurturing environment for their two daughters, aged six and three.
Both girls are cheerful, affectionate and easy-going. They enjoy spending time outdoors, as well as arts and crafts, drawing, baking and imaginative play. They attend school locally during term time and are settled, happy children who thrive with consistency and encouragement.
This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children, takes pride in helping a household run smoothly, and naturally brings a calm, positive and dependable approach to their work.
During term time, the hours will be Monday to Friday, 7.30am–9.00am and 3.00pm–6.30pm, together with an additional three paid hours per week to support with children’s organisation and household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation and keeping on top of the children’s belongings. These additional hours can be worked flexibly to suit the nanny, making a total of 28 hours per week.
During 14 weeks of school holidays, the hours will increase to Monday to Friday, 7.30am–6.30pm (55 hours per week). Salary will be paid evenly throughout the year, providing a consistent monthly income, despite the variation in hours between term time and school holidays.
The role will involve school drop-offs and pick-ups, planning engaging activities and outings during the holidays, arranging playdates where appropriate, and ensuring the children remain happy, safe and well cared for at all times.
The nanny will also play an important role in helping the household run smoothly. Responsibilities will include:
• Children’s laundry and wardrobe organisation
• Keeping children’s bedrooms, play areas and children’s belongings tidy and organised
• Preparing school uniforms, sports kits and anything needed for the following day
• Preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• Batch cooking for the children
• Supporting with homework and reading as they progress through school
• Loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Maintaining tidy family living areas used during the day
• Staying one step ahead of the children’s needs and helping to keep family life organised
There is a weekly cleaner, so no deep cleaning is required, but the family is looking for someone who takes pride in leaving spaces tidy and organised at the end of the day.
The nanny should be a careful and confident driver with a clean driving licence and their own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
There may also be occasional additional hours or babysitting by mutual agreement, which will be paid separately.
