The Nanny and Childcare Specialists

A fantastic part-time live-out nanny opportunity will be available from April 2026 with a warm and professional family based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The role will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care.

You will be caring for two cheerful and energetic children – a little girl aged 2.5 years and her younger brother, who will be one. The family also has a friendly Golden Retriever, so a love of animals is essential.

During term time (34 weeks) the hours of the role will be Monday to Wednesday, 14.00-20.00 (18 hours/week). During the school holidays (18 weeks), the hours will increase to Monday to Friday, 09.00-18.00 (45 hours/week). You will be paid evenly across the year.

Ad hoc additional hours and evening babysitting may be required by mutual agreement, and will be paid as overtime.

The family is seeking a kind, nurturing, and active nanny who will become an integral part of their household. The children enjoy a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, imaginative play, story time, and singing, along with outdoor adventures such as woodland walks and trips to the park.

During school holidays, the parents would like the nanny to plan fun and educational outings — such as visits to the farm and soft play and arranging playdates — to help the children socialise, learn, and most importantly, have fun in a safe environment.

Daily duties will include nursery, school, and club pick-ups, along with helping to keep the children organised. You’ll support with:

• General childcare
• Children’s laundry
• Tidying and organising bedrooms and play areas
• Preparing uniforms and belongings for the following day

While the family employs a weekly cleaner, help with light household tasks — like tidying the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, or running occasional errands — would be appreciated.

You will also be responsible for preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the children and should be confident in supporting weaning and potty training. At the end of the day, you will manage bathtime and leave any used areas clean and tidy for the parents.

A confident, safety-conscious driver with a clean licence is essential. A car will be provided for use during working hours.
