The Nanny and Childcare Specialists

A professional and friendly family is looking for an organised and proactive live-out housekeeper/nanny to help manage their home life in Great Horwood, Buckinghamshire. You will be working alongside Dad, who cares for his little boy, aged three, for 50% of the time. He likes his home to be well cared for and his son to be happy and curious about the world around him.

This position is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of care within a friendly and relaxed household. They live in a large modern house with a beautiful garden. You should be an animal lover as there are two friendly Cavapoo dogs and some sheep in the garden.

Your time will be split between housekeeping and nannying, so a lover of both elements of the role is essential.

The hours of the role will be on a two-week rolling schedule as follows:
Week 1 –
Monday 09.00 – 19.00
Tuesday 07.00 – 19.00
Wednesday 07.00 – 14.00
Thursday 09.00 – 17.00
Friday 09.00 – 14.00
Total hours/week 42

Week 2 –
Monday 07.00 – 14.00
Tuesday 09.00 – 17.00
Wednesday 09.00 – 19.00
Thursday 07.00 – 19.00
Friday 07.00 – 14.00
Total hours/week 44

The little boy attends nursery a few days each week, so ‘dropping off and picking up’ will be part of the role. While the little boy is at nursery the household duties will include:

• Cleaning all rooms to a high standard (dusting, hoovering, mopping as required)
• All laundry, including organising towels and bedding
• Changing beds regularly
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised, emptying the dishwasher, bins, etc
• Resetting the bathrooms each day between weekly cleans
• Keeping cupboards organised
• Organising groceries and household supplies
• Receiving deliveries
• Cooking a simple family friendly meal each day, with batch cooking
• Performing other ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the household
• Help with the two small Cavapoo dogs

When the little boy is not at nursery, the parents are happy for you to take him out and about to groups and activities, balancing that with plenty of indoor play and quiet time, such as singing, reading stories and playing with Lego. You will oversee bathtime and making sure he has everything ready for nursery the following day.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a housekeeper/nanny
• Fluency in English and full rights to work in the UK
• A hardworking, proactive, and highly organised approach
• Strong communication skills
