The Nanny and Childcare Specialists

A friendly, welcoming family based in Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire is looking for a warm, professional and experienced nanny to join them on a full-time basis. This is a shared care position, working alongside Mum, caring for their happy and active 2½ year old son and supporting the family as they welcome their second baby, due in early November, who will be delivered by planned Caesarean section. Dad works a mixture of remotely and in London.

The family is looking for a nanny who is kind, articulate, well-mannered and genuinely enjoys supporting young children as they grow and develop. They would love someone who becomes part of the family team and enjoys encouraging good manners, confidence and independence in children.

The little boy is a happy, energetic child who loves being outdoors and exploring. His favourite activities include going for walks, playing in the garden with water and balls, trips to the local park and colouring. The parents like to encourage a balance of indoor and outdoor play.

The hours of the role will be Monday-Friday, 09.00-18.00. Any mutually agreed additional hours will be paid as overtime.

The family employ a daily housekeeper, therefore the role is focused solely on childcare and nursery duties.

The family is seeking a nanny who is:
• Warm, caring and nurturing
• Friendly, articulate and professional
• Polite, with excellent manners and a positive attitude
• Passionate about early years development
• Happy working in partnership with parents in a shared care role
• A confident cook of family friendly meals, with knowledge of the weaning process
• Organised, proactive and able to use their own initiative
• A careful and confident driver with a clean licence. A duty car will be provided

A Norland qualification would be highly advantageous, although applications from experienced career nannies with an excellent employment history are warmly welcomed.

Duties will include:
• Providing attentive, loving care for both children
• Planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities and outings
• Encouraging outdoor play and learning through everyday experiences
• Supporting routines and developmental milestones
• Preparing healthy meals for the children and assisting with family cooking when required
• Undertaking all nursery duties, including children’s laundry, keeping bedrooms and play areas organised, and maintaining children’s equipment and toys
• Working closely with mum to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of family life

The nanny will be required to provide sole charge care for the family’s son while Mum is in hospital following the birth of the baby, anticipated between 6-10 November 2026. During this time, overnight care in the family home will be required until the parents return.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny seeking a long-term role, with a kind and welcoming family who value professionalism, warmth and exceptional childcare.
