Starting in November 2026 (flexible), a wonderful three-day nanny position has become available in Bedford, Bedfordshire. You will be looking after three happy and active children – a girl aged 11 and her two younger brothers aged seven and four. They are looking for a kind, patient and fun nanny, who can stay long term and become part of their happy family. The family also has a friendly dog, who would appreciate a walk while the children are at school, so a pet lover is essential.
You will be working alongside Mum, so this role will be a mixture of shared care and sole charge.
The hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12.30-20.30 (24 hours/week). There could be some ad hoc additional hours in the school holidays and for babysitting and weekend work, but these hours would be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help them to hit their various developmental milestones – with lots of stimulating indoor fun (fun games, reading, arts and crafts, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the park, fun trips in the school holidays, etc. The children are quite sporty and have after school clubs that they attend. You will also help to oversee any homework.
As well as school runs and general care of the children, you will cook healthy and nutritious meals for them each day, keep on top of their laundry, keep their areas tidy and organised and make sure they have everything they need for the next day (packed lunch, sports kit, etc). Although the family has a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly between cleans would be appreciated – emptying the dishwasher, making sure all rooms are tidy at the end of the day, etc.
You will need to be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car and a clean licence. Duty mileage will be paid at the current government rate.
Although not essential, a French speaking nanny would be advantageous.
