Emergency Temporary Nanny near Hay on Wye, Herefordshire

A welcoming and relaxed family based on the Herefordshire/Welsh border are seeking
an organised, communicative and proactive Emergency nanny to join their beautiful,
modern, state-of-the-art home to provide support while their father and Norland Nanny are
away. This role involves working closely alongside the mother and house manager to help
ensure the smooth running of the household and maintain established routines. The nanny will
assist with a range of daily duties, including school runs for the older boys, as well as
accompanying them to various activities and appointments. Support with the baby’s routine is
also key, including meal times, play, and naps, all carried out in partnership with the mother, as
the baby is currently breastfed. The family would greatly appreciate help with light meal
preparation, contributing to the overall flow of the day. This is a collaborative position suited to
someone who is confident working within a team, adaptable, and proactive in meeting the
needs of a dynamic household. The ideal candidate will be organised, supportive, and capable
of integrating smoothly into an established structure, helping to keep the family’s busy weekly
schedule running efficiently.
Location of the job: Near Hay on Wye, Herefordshire
Hours of work: 7am – 7pm
Days required: 9 days
Ages of children: 1, 14 and 16 years old
Pets in the home: dogs and chickens
Driving required: Yes, confident driver required
Job Start Date: Wednesday 30th September 2026
Job End Date: Thursday 8th September 2026
Pay: £25 gross per hour
