A lovely family in Putney are looking for an experienced, warm and caring nanny to join their family as soon as possible, or once the right person is found. The role is caring for two school-aged children, aged 7 and 9, from Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 7pm, paying £25 gross per hour (£32,500 gross per annum). Holiday hours will be largely the same, although there might be some flexibility around start and finish times.
The role will involve collecting one or both children from school, one child attends a local school in Putney, while the other attends school by Roehampton Gate. Driving is essential, as the children attend various after-school activities and clubs, including swimming and tennis, and the nanny will need to transport them safely between school, activities and home.
The family are looking for someone who understands the importance of supporting children through transitions and providing a positive environment for the children to learn and grow. The nanny will also help with homework, and experience supporting children with dyslexia or similar learning needs would be a bonus. Above all, they are looking for a nanny who can provide the children with individual attention, understanding and a sense of stability, while being a positive influence and helping to nurture their individual personalities, interests and development.
Mum is at home, so the role may involve spending time with one or both children depending on the family’s needs each day. Flexibility and the ability to fit naturally into the family’s routine are therefore important.
There will be some light child-related duties, including preparing simple and healthy meals for the children, some washing and tidying up after them. However, the main focus of the role is providing a consistent, calm and supportive environment for the children. The family are looking for someone who can build a genuine relationship with both children and offer the patience and encouragement that they need.
Previous experience working with school-aged children is essential, as is being a confident driver. There are no pets and no travel is required.
