Second-time parents are looking for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to provide support with their two-week-old baby. The family previously had support in place but are now looking for additional help during this important early stage.
The baby boy is doing very well, thriving and currently combination fed. Mum is keen to continue breastfeeding, with the majority of his feeds currently being expressed breast milk given by bottle. He is beginning to enjoy longer stretches of sleep at night, and the parents are keen to establish a gentle, responsive routine that follows his individual cues and needs.
The family is currently looking for four weeks of support, but they are very keen to find the right candidate who will fit in well with their family and understand their individual approach and needs.
The ideal candidate will be professional, experienced and empathetic, with up-to-date knowledge of current NHS guidance and safe sleep practices. They should be able to provide evidence-based information and advice, be committed to ongoing CPD, and remain up to date with current best practice.
Mum is keen to continue breastfeeding, and it is important that the successful candidate is supportive and knowledgeable in this area, providing encouragement and appropriate support to help her continue her breastfeeding journey.
The family also has an older child who is cared for by a nanny, so no support will be required with the older sibling.
Job Start Date: As soon as possible.
Contract End: 1st October 2026
Location: Marylebone, London
Gross 24 hourly Rate: £350pd gross
Hours of work: 20hrs +4 hr break
Days required: Friday 1pm – Wednesday 9am
Specialist or expert required: Certified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: 12hr First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Maternity Practitioner Certificate (L3 minimum).
Driving required: Not within the role
Accommodation offered: Large room and ensuite with the baby
Pets in the home: 2 x Cats
Any other staff employed in household: 1 x live in Nanny in a separate residence/flat beneath the house
