A warm and professional family of three in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is looking for an experienced, reliable housekeeper to help maintain the day-to-day running of their home. The family has a 16 month old daughter who attends nursery and a friendly Labrador dog, who has a regular dog walker.
The family live in a renovated five bedroomed home which is open plan.
You will be required for eight hours a week – this could be all on one day, preferably a Monday, or split into two four hour shifts. Days can be discussed and agreed.
The family employ a weekly cleaner, so your role will be to ensure the home remains clean, organised, and running efficiently between visits.
Duties will include:
• Keeping the home tidy and well organised, including a daily reset of the kitchen, bedrooms, and living areas (vacuuming, dusting if required etc)
• Managing the family’s laundry, including washing, ironing, and bed linen
• Changing beds on a regular basis
• Organising cupboards
• Unpacking and putting away grocery deliveries and household shopping
• Planning, preparing, and cooking healthy, nutritious family meals in line with an agreed menu and any dietary requirements
• Running occasional household errands, such as visiting the post office or dry cleaners
• Watering plants
The family is hoping to welcome someone who is proactive, trustworthy, kind, and dependable. They would love to find a housekeeper who is naturally warm and will become a positive and supportive presence within their home.
