A wonderful, down-to-earth family based in the Brook Green area of Hammersmith is seeking an experienced, full-time sole charge nanny to care for their delightful 8-year-old daughter. The role is to start in early September, with the opportunity for a handover alongside the family’s current nanny during August before the family goes on holiday. The salary on offer is between £65,000 and £75,000 DOE.
The position is Monday to Friday, working 7:30am to 7:00pm during term time and 8:00am to 7:00pm during school holidays. Although the hours are long, there is the opportunity for ample downtime during the school day in term time, for the nanny to do as she pleases, once the morning routine and nursery duties have been completed. The school she attends is also conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the family home. The families current nanny has been with them for four years, reflecting the positive, supportive, and happy working environment the family has to offer.
Their daughter enjoys swimming, music, (including violin and piano) arts and crafts, imaginative play, and fun outings. The family is looking for a proactive, respectful and nurturing nanny who genuinely enjoys the company of school-aged children and nurturing curiosity and independence. They would love to find someone who is able to create a calm, happy, and stimulating environment where their daughter can continue to learn, thrive, and have fun. The role will include school pick-up, after-school care, homework support, arranging age-appropriate activities and playdates, preparing healthy meals, and planning engaging and educational activities. Child-related household duties, including children’s laundry and keeping bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised, are also expected. Occasional travel with the family is required, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are important, although this is not extensive. There are no pets in the household, and a driver is not required.
