A delightful and down to earth Norwegian family relocating to London after spending the past three years in Norway are looking for a warm, dedicated, and proactive nanny to join them from early September. This is a fixed-term position for one year, based near Sloane Square.
The role is for three fixed days per week, with working hours of 9am to 4pm. The family is flexible on which three fixed days are worked, provided they fall between Monday and Thursday. The salary on offer is £22 gross per hour (£24,024)
The family have two wonderful children, aged 5 and 2. The role will primarily focus on caring for their 2-year-old son during the day while his older sister is at school. They are looking for someone who enjoys creating fun, engaging and educational days, including trips to local parks, children’s classes, playgroups, museums and other age-appropriate activities. As Norwegian is spoken at home, their youngest will also be learning English, so they’re looking for someone who enjoys supporting his language development naturally through play and conversation. The eldest child is 5 years old and attends school, so responsibilities relating to her will mainly be after school and occasionally during school holidays. Someone who is confident planning activities, encouraging curiosity and development, and creating a safe, happy and stimulating environment is very important to the family, as well as someone with a genuine love for working with children The parents value open communication and see their nanny as an important part of their children’s lives. Nursery duties only, such as preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children, keeping the children’s areas tidy, undertaking the children’s laundry and organising toys as well as school or nursery pick-ups when required. A nanny who is open to occasional babysitting or pre arranged extra hours would be beneficial. There is no driving required and no pets. Travel with the family is also not required.
