A lovely opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to support a grandmother who is stepping confidently (and joyfully) into her new role as first-time “Grandma-in-Charge.”
The little girl at the heart of this placement will be nearly 5 months old and is already something of a dream baby. She sleeps well, feeds well from a bottle, and generally seems very pleased with life, as babies ideally should be. The grandmother will be caring for her granddaughter while the parents attend a family wedding in Europe, so this is very much a special short-term “grandma takeover” moment.
The role will involve supporting her with the baby’s daily care and routine, working mainly in a shared-care capacity, with the occasional solo stint if Grandma needs to pop out.
We are looking for someone experienced, fully qualified, and confident in infant care, but also someone who brings warmth, a sense of humour, and a relaxed, can-do attitude. Someone who is happy to muck in, be reassuring, and make the whole experience feel smooth, supported, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Overall, this is a warm, family-focused placement with a lovely baby, a very proud grandmother, and a genuinely appreciative household.

Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
