Daily Maternity Practitioner needed for immediate start in Central London

Role: First-time parents are seeking an experienced Maternity Practitioner to provide daily support and guidance. They are eager to gain comprehensive knowledge about their six-week-old newborn baby.
The ideal candidate should provide customised advice on routines and sleep practices that suit each family’s specific requirements. Confidence and expertise across all areas of infant care are important, along with excellent communication skills and an ability to adjust guidance as a baby grows and changes. Prior experience supporting first-time parents is especially valued. The position may include light nursery tasks such as doing the baby’s laundry and sterilising bottles. The family seeks someone who can commit for the entire contract period, collaborate openly, and respect their parenting style and choices. Main responsibilities involve helping with feeding, settling the baby, developing healthy sleep habits, as well as offering guidance on bathing, nappy changing, and overall newborn care. The successful practitioner should educate and empower parents, boosting their confidence as they adapt to early parenthood. Sensitivity to family routines and wishes is essential, as is providing a friendly and reassuring presence at home.
Job Start Date: As soon as possible
Length of Contract: 6-8 weeks but could extend
Location: Central London
Suggested hourly rate: £20-25 gross (DOE)
Hours of work: 6hrs approx. per day
Days required: 4 days a week
Specialist or expert required: Qualified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5-7yrs experience within the role of Maternity Practitioner.
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: 12hr First Aid, DBS and Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum).

It is usual for Maternity Nurses and Consultants to be self-employed, and you will be required to issue your own contract for services, Unique Tax Reference number to our clients at offer stage.
