A friendly and active gentleman, recently widowed, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and versatile part-time live-out housekeeper to manage his immaculate five-bedroom home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
This role will suit someone who is organised, dedicated, and passionate about maintaining high standards in a warm and friendly home environment. The role is open to both female and male candidates. It would be advantageous if they enjoy spending time in the garden, or have handyman skills. There is a gardener in place, but any help to keep it in order would be a wonderful addition.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, five hours per day (25 hours per week). Hours can be flexible to suit the candidate, but something like 10:00–15:00 would be ideal.
Key responsibilities:
• Daily cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen
• Organising cupboards and wardrobe management
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing bed linen
• Organising groceries and household supplies
• Preparing a cooked lunch and dinner each day
• Receiving deliveries and liaising with contractors
• Performing other ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the household
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience working as a housekeeper
• Fluency in English and full rights to work in the UK
• A hardworking, proactive, and highly organised approach
• A positive, “can-do” attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Trustworthiness, reliability, and discretion
• Empathy and a caring nature
• Excellent, checkable references
• Their own fully insured car, with a clean driving licence (duty mileage to be paid)
