A private stately home in Worcestershire is seeking the care and attention of a passionate and hardworking Grounds Person to ensure the gardens and wider estate are maintained to a high standard and continue to thrive. This varied role will include mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, weeding, pruning, fencing, and general upkeep of the grounds. Internal and external property maintenance is also required, including tasks such as painting, sanding, and minor repairs. Confidence in operating, maintaining, and safely using garden and grounds machinery is essential. The successful candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, and reliable, with a “can do” attitude and the ability to complete tasks efficiently yet with attention to detail. Strong time management skills and a willingness to turn their hand to a wide variety of duties are important. The grounds are also home to a friendly pig with piglets and a flock of quail, who will occasionally require care and attention from the Grounds Person. In addition, the estate includes workshops, farm buildings, machinery barns, greenhouses, terraces, and formal gardens, all of which form part of the daily and seasonal responsibilities. This role would suit someone experienced, motivated, and dedicated to the long-term care of beautiful grounds.
