A fantastic opportunity is available from January 2026 for an experienced and caring nanny to join a warm and active family in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire.
This long-term, four-day-a-week position involves looking after two young boys, aged two years and eight months. The family enjoys getting out and about and hopes to find a nanny who will become a valued part of their happy home. The family have a friendly Sprocker dog who would appreciate a regular walk.
Mum will be returning to work following maternity leave in March, so the role will begin as shared care and transition to sole charge. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08.00-18.00 (40 hours/week).
The eldest will attend local nursery each morning from September 2026. Flexibility is important, as Mum will sometimes leave both children in your care, take one child out, or spend time together as a group. The family encourages a balanced approach to development, with plenty of indoor activities such as crafts, stories, singing, puzzles, and imaginative play, as well as lots of time outdoors, including walks and trips to the park.
The parents are keen for their children to attend activities and playdates to make friends, so a nanny who is sociable and proactive in planning activities is ideal. There will be a budget provided to spend on day trips and activities.
A confident, careful driver with a clean licence is essential. Use of a duty car may be available, or mileage will be reimbursed.
You will be responsible for all nursery duties, including preparing healthy, home-cooked meals, keeping the children’s areas clean and tidy, and staying on top of their laundry. While a cleaner visits weekly, a helping hand with small daily tasks like emptying the dishwasher and tidying at the end of the day would be appreciated.
