A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced housekeeper to support a warm and welcoming family of five in their beautifully renovated six-bedroom home in St Albans. The children are aged 7, 5, and 18 months, and while this is primarily a housekeeping position, a love for children and a willingness to occasionally assist with playtime, homework, or a school pick-up would be a lovely bonus. You should be a confident cook, who likes to prepare simple family meals, as this will be a main part of the role.
You will be required for three days each week, from 14.00-19.00 (15 hours/week). The three days are flexible and will be mutually agreed.
You will work alongside Mum to ensure their busy home runs smoothly. The family enjoys an active, sporty lifestyle and values time spent together at home and when travelling.
The family employs a cleaner for ten hours each week, so the housekeeping responsibilities will include the following:
• Tidying and organising the home
• Family laundry – including bedding and clothes
• Cooking simple family meals
• Bed changing
• Wardrobe management
• Unpacking and storing grocery shopping
• Running household errands (post office, dry cleaning etc)
A driver is essential for helping with household errands and the occasional school run if Mum needs help. You will need to have a clean licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
The family is looking for someone who is warm, friendly, honest and proactive and would like to become part of the family.
