Event Nanny for two boys in Hay on Wye, Herefordshire

A lovely family is seeking a calm, caring, and experienced babysitter to care for their two sons,
aged 7 and 5 years old, for an evening while the parents attend a dinner and party.
The booking will take place at a luxury safari-style lodge, where the babysitter will be based for
the duration of the evening. The role will begin with a period of shared care, supporting the
parents as the children wind down and prepare for bed.
The evening routine will include helping the boys get changed into their nightwear, brushing
their teeth, and engaging them in a calming activity such as bedtime stories or quiet games. The
children are lively, independent, and full of energy, so the ideal candidate will be someone who
can balance warmth and fun with a calm, steady approach and maintain the clear boundaries
already in place by the parents.
While the boys are expected to be asleep for most of the evening, the babysitter should remain
present and attentive, offering a dependable and reassuring presence should either child wake
or require support.
Previous experience working with children in a private home setting is preferred, along with a
confident and nurturing approach. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys
working in a peaceful, family-oriented environment and can offer both professionalism and
genuine care.
Location of the job: Hay On Wye, Herefordshire
Hours of work: 8pm – 12am
Days required: Saturday 21st June 2025
Pay: £25 gross per hour
