A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced and nurturing afternoon nanny to join a warm and welcoming family in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, starting in August 2025.
You will be working in partnership with Mum, who is currently on maternity leave, to care for four cheerful and energetic children: six-year-old twin girls, their 18-month-old brother, and their four-month-old baby sister. The family is looking for a nanny who is seeking a long-term role and who will become a valued member of their family.
The ideal candidate will have experience caring for babies and toddlers, with a kind, nurturing nature and the ability to build strong bonds with young children.
You will be required to work 07.30-19.00 on two days (23 hours/week). One day will be Tuesday and the other day is flexible to suit the nanny, but not a Friday. Additional hours for occasional extra days and evening babysitting may be offered, paid as overtime at the agreed hourly rate.
You will assist Mum with the school run, either by staying at home with the younger children or helping to collect the older girls from school.
The parents are keen to support their children’s development through a balanced mix of stimulating indoor activities—such as sensory play, imaginative games, reading, puzzles, and crafts—and regular outdoor play and visits to the park. As the children grow, they would like them to engage in playdates and group activities to support their social development. The family lives in a spacious home with a large garden, and during school holidays, there will be more opportunities to plan fun outings and adventures with the older girls.
A weekly cleaner is employed, but you will be responsible for typical nursery duties, including:
• Feeding, changing, and supporting daily routines
• Keeping children’s spaces clean and organised (bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, play areas)
• Managing the children’s laundry
• Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals
• Batch-preparing age-appropriate meals for the baby to be frozen and used by parents over weekends
A confident driver with a clean licence and fully insured car is essential. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.
This is a fantastic role for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and looking to make a long-term commitment with a loving and supportive family.
