A wonderful four-day, live-out nanny role is becoming available in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. The family is warm and welcoming, both parents are professionals, and they share a love for the outdoors. They are looking for a nurturing, kind, and fun nanny who can commit long-term and become part of their happy family.
The family lives in a beautiful modern home with a large garden, in a rural location. They enjoy country walks and an active lifestyle.
This is a sole charge role, caring for a delightful baby girl who will be six months old at the start of the position in August 2025. Every other weekend, her elder sisters (aged 12 and 14) come to stay. While no primary care is required for them, you may occasionally need to prepare dinner if needed.
You will be required to work Tuesday–Friday, 07:00–19:00 (48 hours/week). A little flexibility may be required due to parents’ work commitments. Any additional hours will be agreed upon in advance and paid as overtime.
The parents would love their baby to develop in a balanced and engaging way, reaching her developmental milestones through a mix of:
• Educational and stimulating indoor activities (reading stories, sensory play, singing, age-appropriate games, etc.).
• Outdoor play and walks to the park.
• Social interaction through playdates, groups, and activities to encourage social development.
As the family employs a weekly cleaner, this role focuses on nursery duties only, but some general household help would be appreciated, such as emptying the dishwasher, keeping rooms used during the day tidy. The nursery duties are to include:
• General care of the baby
• Maintaining all areas used by the baby (kitchen, her bedroom, playroom, etc.).
• Managing the baby’s laundry and wardrobe as she outgrows clothes.
• Preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks (home cooked as often as possible).
• Preparing and freezing blended meals for weekends as the baby transitions through weaning.
• Supporting weaning and potty training as the baby grows.
A confident and careful driver is essential. A clean driving licence and fully insured car are required. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.
The family has four friendly cats, so you must be comfortable around pets (but will not be responsible for their care).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny looking for a long-term, fulfilling role with a lovely family.
