1. Spa day. Your Nanny invests so time much in caring for others. Why not offer them the chance of a self-care day? A spa day where they could have a swim, a treatment and perhaps a healthy meal prepared for them would be ideal!
2. Which brings us to – a meal. If your Nanny also prepares delicious healthy meals for your family, why not turn the tables and cook for them? Or perhaps invite them to join you for a restaurant meal and let them enjoy being waited on.
3. A Harmony at Home Nanny Diary. With 25% off for National Nanny Recognition Week these beautiful diaries are a real treat. Your Nanny will have all their important paperwork to hand, and they’re dated all the way until 2026.
4. Continued Professional Development. With our range of courses your Nanny can gain valuable new skills which will benefit them AND your family of course. Why not combine this with a day’s paid study leave so they can get stuck into some exciting new training?
5. A gift card. Cards like One4All can be used across multiple retailers allowing your Nanny to choose something they really would like…. or need!
6. Speaking of ‘needs’ has your Nanny expressed an interest in something that would be useful? Perhaps they’re considering a new gym membership? Or even a car service. If you’ve been listening closely this is the ideal time to surprise them with something they really need. It is sure to be highly appreciated.
7. Crafts from the children. Nannies love receiving a thoughtful handmade ‘thank you’ from their children. We feature a ‘Make it Monday’ series on the Harmony at Home Instagram which means there are plenty of ideas to inspire you.
8. A paid day off. It’s a simple but effective acknowledgement of how hard your Nanny works. Nannies often don’t finish their working days until other services are closed. So, the opportunities for them to complete ‘life admin’ tasks – visit the bank, supermarket, doctors etc are actually quite scarce. If you let them know in advance (perhaps scheduling the day for National Nanny Appreciation Week) they can book some things in. And hopefully meet a friend for a coffee too.
9. Flowers or a beautiful house plant. If you have a live out Nanny something to brighten their home and make them smile every time they pass.
10. A personalised thank you. Whether a card, or a handwritten note recognising your Nannies hard work goes a long way.
