Former nanny and lifelong childcare professional, Sally Whitear, has launched a childcare and household staffing agency, Harmony at Home, in Bedfordshire.
Sally, who has been in the childcare industry for more than 20 years, bought the Bedfordshire franchise of Harmony at Home in the spring of 2019 after making the break from nannying and deciding to start her own business.
The Bedfordshire franchise is the latest addition to the Harmony at Home portfolio, which was launched by childcare entrepreneur and Norland nanny Frankie Gray in 2004. The agency provides a range of childcare recruitment services to parents across the entire county of Bedfordshire.
On launching her own childcare business Sally comments: “I have spent more than ten years in senior childcare management positions, and I’ve the educational qualifications of Early Years Teacher and a Degree in Early Years which I believe demonstrate my commitment to childcare services. I’m very much looking forward to matching the right candidates with families and households across Bedfordshire, using my own understanding, having been a Nanny PA for several families – I know first-hand what constitutes high standards of childcare and recruitment.”
Sally is the proud owner of a sausage dog, and once played darts for the South of England! A personable person, and keen to always understand the needs of others, Sally is very much looking forward to the challenges of matching candidates to the right families and households across the Bedfordshire county.
Frankie Gray, Harmony at Home’s founding director, adds: “To be a Harmony at Home franchisee there is a strict set of criteria that needs to be met in order to establish that the person is genuinely childcare focussed. Sally joins us as a degree educated childcare professional – I’m delighted that she’s chosen to become a part of the Harmony at Home Network and am keen to support her on her journey to success.”
