Top job! Live in full time Nanny PA in Winkfield Berkshire SL4 – PD891

“Nanny PA Winkfield Berkshire full time”

This fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for this professional family who are looking for an experienced, fun and highly organised live in Nanny PA.

 They are a happy, busy family with 4 children (aged 10) (aged 7) and non-identical twin boys (aged 4) and are looking for a trust-worthy, pro-active, responsible, warm, energetic and fun nanny / PA to join their family. They are relocating from London to Winkfield in Berkshire – close to Ascot – in March 2019 to a lovely big family home, with garden, tennis court and swimming pool and lots of space for the children to run around in.

Both parents work full time and are looking for a wonderful new person to join their family, take good care of the children and manage the house for us. The family already have a cleaner , so cleaning isnt part of this role . The candidate needs to be well-organised and tidy, straightforward and a good communicator who is pro-active, with lots of initiative and a muck-in/can-do attitude.   This is a role which will be a perfect fit for someone who likes to be busy and who loves being part of a happy family and wants to make a real difference to family life.    Ideally, they would love to find someone who is keen to be with the family for a good period of time – more than just a year.

The children are fun, enthusiastic and kind. They are sociable and inquisitive, and love being out and about going to activities, playdates, outings and new experiences .They enjoy playing sport (tennis, riding, golf, skiing, surfing and swimming), games of all varieties from kick-the-can to card games and are starting to develop other hobbies as well.

Nanny element of the role

During term time, there will be plenty of time to do , such as school runs and spending time with the children and nursery duties .During term time, you will be able to manage your time so that you can take time off during the day while the children are at school, subject to fulfilling your duties. During the holidays, it will be a longer day when you will be responsible for all 4 children.  They take their  family holidays during the school holidays and in reality, the longer day is really only relevant for 8-10 weeks of the year.

  • Children’s laundry – including changing children’s bedding and ironing those of their clothes that need ironing
  • Cooking healthy meals for the children;
  • Keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, tidy and well organised;
  • Managing the children’s wardrobes – assessing clothes that have been grown out of/need repair/replacement etc;
  • Planning playdates;
  • Liaising with school and keeping on top of school correspondence (e.g. dress up Friday for Children in Need etc.)
  • Designing activities, particularly for the twins to help with their Early Years development.

PA element of the role

An important part of the role is that of a house manager PA . Duties include the following:

  • Managing provisions / shopping lists;
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers as necessary;
  • Arranging deliveries / collections;
  • Liaising with the housekeeper (who we expect to come 3 mornings a week);
  • Running errands;
  • Generally helping organise the house

This family recognise that during the school holidays, the nanny element of the role will absolute take precedence but, during term time, particularly from September 2019, there should be plenty of time to undertake nursery and house management duties as well as have a decent break.

Whilst there is a separate coach house, it needs a lot of work and accordingly, at least for the first 18 months, the accommodation will be a large double bedroom, with own bathroom and separate sitting room at one end of the main house.

Key requirements:

  • Experience of at least 4 years looking after children and some previous experience of household management;
  • Clean driving licence (to drive an automatic car);
  • Fluent English;
  • First aid and DBS checked, plus checkable references;
  • Fun, organised, pro-active and responsible who loves children and wants to be part of our family;
  • Good communicator;
  • A desire to find the right family to be with for a couple of years. This is not a short-term position!
