Hot on the heals of a recent nomination for the mumandworking.co.uk Franchisor of the Year Award, 2016, Harmony at Home Nanny Agency has just announced the sale of four new franchises: Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and the West Midlands. This development is further evidence of the company’s incredible vitality, which continues to inspire confidence among hard-working entrepreneurial investors. In this case, all four franchises have been bought by successful former legal professional and working mum, Katie Bryson.

“I joined the Harmony at Home brand because I was impressed with their professional approach to childcare,” said Katie Bryson, during a recent visit to the Harmony at Home Head Office in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. “I know that anybody considering engaging a nanny needs to have confidence in the agency that they use… and I believe that can only come from the national organisation that is Harmony at Home.”

Founder and Director of Harmony at Home Limited, Frankie Gray, is equally confident. “This is such an exciting moment in the 12 year history of Harmony at Home. Katie is so full of energy and enthusiasm and her professional abilities are beyond question. I can’t wait to see her business flourish and grow.”

Please Vote for Us! Flexibility for working mums creates Harmony at Home

We are delighted to be nominated for the National 2016 mumandworking.co.uk Award in the Franchisor/Licensor of the Year category and we need your help… this award is voted for.

Here is a little more about our journey and ethos…

How do you create a flourishing franchise network? The UK and International nanny and household agency Harmony at Home definitely knows the secret—and flexibility at work is an important part of the formula.

Founded in 2004, by Norland Nanny and mother of three, Frankie Gray, the company has experienced 12 years of unparalleled growth to become one of the most highly-regarded nanny and childcare agencies in the business. The Harmony at Home brand also includes an extremely successful Children’s Boutique, as well as a dedicated Nanny Academy. So, how do they do it?

“As a mother of three,” explains Founder and Director, Frankie Gray, “I completely understand the pressures of modern family life. The regular nine till five employment model just doesn’t fit anymore, particularly for working mums and dads, and part time employment usually doesn’t pay. So, at Harmony at Home, we’re proud to offer an alternative flexible working model, which empowers parents and helps them take control.”

“There are too many talented women and men out there,” continues Frankie Gray, “whose ambitions and dreams have remained unfulfilled, due to inflexible work practices. This is bad for them, bad for their families, and also bad for the economy.”

By tapping into this rich vein of talent, Frankie Gray has built up a thriving network of entrepreneurs who really appreciate the benefits of being their own bosses using the Flexible Working Franchise model.

“Owning my own business,” explains Philippa Day, owner of Harmony at Home Nanny Agency Berkshire, “has affected my life in such a positive way. I can now be as successful as I choose to be; and the harder I work, and the more passionate I am about my job, the better my own personal family life becomes. And, as a working mum, I can also spend more quality time with my children; picking them up from school and helping them with trumpet and guitar practice!”

But, it doesn’t stop there. The Harmony at Home flexible employment model also recognises that many nannies and childcare workers have their own children.

“Our services are tailored to incorporate all work seekers, including those with children of their own,” explains Frankie Gray. “We welcome every childcare professional to register with us, subject to the statutory checks, and we actively place hundreds of nannies, with their own children, in happy households each year—including my own!”
